This service allows for the renewal of the Lease Incentive for buildings or autonomous units used as permanent residences.
The incentive is provided as a non-refundable monthly subsidy to households meeting the eligibility criteria for a one-year period. It may be renewed for an equivalent term, up to a maximum of four consecutive renewals. Upon the expiration of the previously mentioned contract, a new application process can be initiated.
This support program is exclusively intended for citizens who have been permanent residents of the Autonomous Region of the Azores for at least three years and who are not in debt to the tax authorities or social security.

When to do
The renewal application must be submitted by the end of the third-to-last month of each subsidy year, specifically from September 1 to September 30.
The above deadlines may be adjusted by order of the Regional Government member responsible for housing. Failure to submit the renewal application within the specified period results in the forfeiture of the right to renewal.

Documents
- Application Form
- All rent payment receipts not previously submitted, if requested during compliance verification
- Proof of repayment of any incorrectly received support
- Updated documents verifying the identification of the applicant and household members (only for new household members or ID renewals)
- Proof of income (e.g., IRS declaration and settlement notice, Social Insertion Income declaration, pension statements, unemployment benefits)
- Social Security remuneration statements for the past two years for all household members aged 16 or older. If enrolled in school, a school enrollment certificate must be provided.
- Proof of no immovable property ownership that could be occupied or used to cover rent payments by the applicant or household members
- A tax authority-issued certificate confirming regularized tax and social security status for all household members aged 18 or older, or proof of an approved debt repayment plan
- Bank-issued proof of the applicant's bank account details (IBAN), excluding ATM receipts (waived if the IBAN remains unchanged)
- A document issued by the local parish council confirming the applicant's tax residency in the Azores for at least three years, if the rental contract was signed less than three years prior to the application
If there is a change of residence, the following must also be provided:
- A rental contract under the New Urban Lease Regime (Law No. 6/2006, February 27, with amendments by Law No. 31/2012, August 14), including the tax office's stamp for stamp duty payment
OR - If the rental contract was signed online, the following must also be submitted:
a) Proof of submission of Model 2 declaration
b) Proof of stamp duty payment (optional, as the Tax Authority will verify payment)
c) An uncertified copy of the property registry certificate and cadastral record
