Service cost
- Renewal of license in digital and physical format: €46.80;
- Renewal of license in urgent digital and physical format: €93.60;
- Renewal of license in digital format: €42.12;
- Renewal of urgent digital license: €84.24;
- Renewal of expired licence with theoretical examination of the categories of seaman and local boss and issuance of the licence in digital and physical format: €134.30;
- Renewal of expired licence with theoretical examination of the categories of seaman and local employer and issuance of the licence in digital format: €120.87;
- Renewal of expired license with theoretical exam of the categories of skipper of coast and skipper of the high seas in digital and physical format: €215.90;
Renewal of expired licence with theoretical examination of the categories of skipper and skipper of the high seas in digital format: €194.31.
The payment method should preferably be by ATM reference that will be sent in the Revenue Slip.

When to do
- In the last 30 days of its validity (and until the eve of the holder's birthday).
The following must apply for the renewal of the recreational boating license:
The system will not allow renewal before this limit.
The recreational boating licence must be renewed from the age of 70, every 5 years and from the age of 80 every 2 years.
Once the licence has expired, it may still be renewed if the holder successfully takes an examination.
Documents
If you start:
- Current photograph (height 2.5 [cm] x width 2 [cm] – passport type), with white background, size up to 2MB, in one of the following formats: jpeg, jpg, png, bmp, gif only in cases where you do not request it in person;
- Medical certificate of physical fitness, issued less than 6 months ago or medical certificate for seafarers;
- Scanned signature, as stated on the identification document, with a size of up to 2MB, in one of the following formats: jpeg, jpg, png, bmp, gif, only in cases where it is not requested in person.
If representative:
- Declaration or power of attorney of the holder (mandatory document to initiate the process);
- Current photograph of the holder (height 2.5 [cm] x width 2 [cm] – passport size), with white background, size up to 2MB, in one of the following formats: jpeg, jpg, png, bmp, gif, only in cases where it is not requested in person;
- Medical certificate of physical fitness of the holder, issued less than 6 months ago or medical certificate for seafarers;
- Scanned signature of the holder, as stated on the identification document, with a size of up to 2MB, in one of the following formats: jpeg, jpg, png, bmp, gif.

Where to do it
Renewal can be requested by:
- holder;
- Legal representative of a minor (parent/guardian);
- Representative, provided that he or she has a declaration/power of attorney for this purpose.
Average time to perform
Select the desired format: Digital or Digital + Physical Document.
In the digital-only format, the amount to be paid has a 10% reduction compared to the price of the Digital+ Physical Document.
digital:
Normal order: +/- 2 weeks after invoice/recipe slip payment;
Rush order: +/- 1 week after invoice/receipt payment.
Physical Document:
There is no delivery time.
The physical document of the recreational boating license will be sent to the address provided, via CTT, with acknowledgment of receipt.
