Employers can only hire former employees after at least 18 months have elapsed after the termination of a previous employment contract in the same.

Who is the Programme for:

1. Young people who have recently graduated from courses with a level of qualification equal to or higher than level IV of the NQF;
2. Unemployed people registered in the CQE for more than 30 consecutive days on the date of the job offer made by the employer;
3. Interns who are integrated in an internship measure or who have completed it less than six months in a row, and who have not worked during this period;
4. Unemployed people registered with the Qualification and Employment Centre (CQE) who attend or have attended integration programmes and who have remained uninterruptedly registered with the CQE after the conclusion of the measure;

Support

The support is in the amount of 15 times the gross remuneration, per supported open-ended contract.

The support is in the amount of 18 times gross remuneration, whenever an open-ended employment contract is signed, with the following type of unemployed:

• Unemployed people in a situation of disadvantage or social fragility;
• Unemployed people registered for more than 12 months, or for more than six months in the case of young people aged 30 or under;
• Young people who have recently graduated from courses with a level of qualification equal to or higher than level IV of the NQF, who have never worked in the respective area of training under an employment contract and have never carried out an internship promoted by the GRA, aged 30 years or less at the date of submission of the application, a recent graduate being understood to be one who has completed the training less than nine months ago;
• Young people who have completed the internship measure in the last six months and have not worked after the end of the internship.

Requirements for the provision of the service

• The conclusion of an open-ended and full-time employment contract;
• The maintenance of the level of employment for the month of the calendar year prior to the date of the application in which the lowest value is registered, plus the jobs supported, or for entities that were not constituted on that date, the level of employment existing in the month prior to the date of the application, plus the jobs supported;

If the same employer submits more than one application, it must maintain the level of employment of the month prior to the date of the application, plus the job(s) supported, which cannot be equal to or lower than the level of employment that the entity had to maintain in the last approved application, in the last two years.

The level of employment to be maintained is reduced to 80% when the following are hired:

• Interns who have completed an internship project in the promoting entity itself;
• Unemployed in a situation of disadvantage in relation to the labor market.

Notes/exceptions:

The gross remuneration corresponds to the value contracted in the employment contract, with a maximum monthly limit of the amount corresponding, per employee, to twice the minimum wage guaranteed in the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

Guaranteed Minimum Monthly Remuneration = 740.25 x 2 = 1480.5

The registration deadline for more than 30 days is not applicable whenever an unemployed person is hired in a situation of disadvantage or social fragility.
