Change to Vehicle Registration Certificate – Other Characteristics
The Vehicle Registration Certificate, also known as the Single Vehicle Document (DUA), is the official identification document of a vehicle and is essential for its legal circulation. It contains the vehicle’s technical data and its legal status, replacing the former Registration Booklet and the Property Registration Title. To ensure legal compliance, this document must always be kept up to date.
RIAC provides the service for changing the Vehicle Registration Certificate – Other Characteristics, which allows the update of a vehicle’s technical information. It is important to note that address changes on the Vehicle Registration Certificate (DUA) are not carried out at RIAC branches and must instead be completed at a Vehicle Registration Office (Conservatória do Registo Automóvel).

- Vehicle Registration Certificate (or the original Registration Booklet)
- Citizen Card (or Identity Card and Taxpayer Card)
