Applications Open for the Youth Rental Incentive

The application period for the initial submission to the Incentivo ao Arrendamento Jovem (Youth Rental Incentive) is currently open until May 31.

This measure, part of the Famílias com Futuro (Families with a Future) Program from the Regional Directorate for Housing, aims to support young families who have been residents in the Region for at least three years and, without owning a home, require assistance to rent buildings or autonomous units for permanent residence.

Eligible applicants are citizens under the age of 35 who have lived permanently in the Azores for at least three years, have no outstanding debts to the tax authorities or social security, or whose debts are covered by a repayment plan agreed with the respective entities.

For approved applications, financial support is granted in the form of a non-repayable monthly subsidy for a duration of one year.

This support may be renewed for an equal period, up to a maximum of four consecutive years. After this period, a new application may be submitted.

Starting in June, the application phase for the renewal of the Youth Rental Incentive will begin.
