Modernization and Digitalization of Regional Public Administration - RAATD-C19-i06-RAA: Digital transition of the public administration of the Azores

Description and objectives:In a scenario of sustained social and economic recovery in the Azores, not only to repair the social and economic damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic crisis but also to create the necessary conditions for greater resilience and resistance of Azorean society and economy, it is urgent to modernize and digitalize the Regional Public Administration, whose work models have remained practically unchanged over the years.

Thus, the aim is to have a public administration more apt for the future, more proactive, inclusive, and open, providing more agile public services and focusing on greater proximity to the citizen, centering its actions on their needs and expectations.

This project emerges as another means of interaction with the citizen, complementing the vast network of RIAC shops and enhancing the scope of RIAC's competencies, extending them to the services already provided by this institute, in an external aspect, of approaching the citizen, including those who are unable to travel to a RIAC Shop.

In this context, component 19 of PRR-Açores includes:

Project RIAC Mobile – for a more accessible and inclusive service to the citizen

• Computer and communication equipment

Goals:

• Acquisition of eleven passenger cars with exclusively electric propulsion
• Acquisition of eleven mobile devices for biometric data collection and respective technical assistance services
• Acquisition of computer equipment to equip "RIAC Mobile" vehicles and communication support equipment associated with the project's dissemination
